{"id":1149,"name":"Joe Magee","url":"","description":"Joe Magee is an award-winning artist, illustrator, and film maker. \r\nHe has been a regular contributor of images to a range of international publications such as Lib\u00e9ration, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Time Magazine, New York Times and Newsweek - having upwards of two thousand images published. \r\nHis work has shown widely at galleries and film festivals internationally - he has twice presented work at the International Symposium of Electronic Arts (Japan, Liverpool) as well as at Watershed (Bristol), the Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), the Victoria and Albert Museum (London) and The National Portrait Gallery (London). He has artworks in the permanent collections of University of the Arts London and University of Bath. His films have screened at London, Edinburgh and Tampere film festivals, and won several prizes. \r\nJoe works regularly with a range of universities including Johns Hopkins, Boston University and TUFTS. A 2022 design and illustration collaboration with Boston University\u2019s prestigious School of Public Health won a total of 8 industry awards.\r\nJoe studied Graphic Design at London College of Communication and has completed a Master\u2019s Degree in Communication Media at Manchester Metropolitan University.\r\nIn 2009, Joe was awarded two D&AD (Design and Art Direction) Awards For Outstanding Achievement as the result of a collaboration with designer Theseus Chan\u2019s WORK studio in Singapore.
