Working at the intersection of geography and landscape architecture, she investigates landscapes at both the miniature and panoramic scales, connecting the material realities of ground, maintenance, and ecological processes with the broader spatial systems that shape cities and regions. Her research has contributed to published work on spatiotemporal modeling, urban flooding, heat and community gardens. She is interested in the overlapping roles of human and ecological agency in shaping landscapes, the potential of nature-based solutions to build climate resilience, and the evolving role of designers as long-term stewards of environmental change. More broadly, her work asks how people can live within ecological systems more responsibly and reciprocally.
