Cesar Almeida

Cesar Almeida is the Senior Program Coordinator for Youth Empowerment at Faith in Place, a Chicago-based environmental justice nonprofit. In his role, he leads statewide programs like the Eco-Ambassador initiative, connecting youth and communities across the Midwest to environmental education, advocacy, and nature. He focuses on making science and the environment more accessible to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) youth, and has spoken publicly about reclaiming safe outdoor spaces for Chicago’s young people amid immigration enforcement. Outside of his environmental justice work, he is also an executive producer, entrepreneur, and educator that designs programs and campaigns that uplift our collective spirit.
