Dara is a Manager of the IUCN Academy, which harnesses IUCN’s global expertise to deliver innovative learning journeys for professionals, postgraduate students and leaders eager to make a meaningful impact in nature conservation.
Dara’s experience in learning and development spans several sectors and geographies. Prior to IUCN, she developed sustainability education programs for business executives at the WBCSD, and created learning journeys for government and business leaders at the World Economic Forum. Dara also worked in Southeast Asia for several years, where she organized trainings and workshops on sustainable development and human rights for policymakers, business leaders, healthcare professionals, as well as immigrant and refugee communities.
Dara has a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, and training in Higher Education from Harvard’s Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning.
