Juliana Gatti is driven by the conviction that every tree is a living heritage of the planet. Drawing on her expertise as a Sustainability Design Specialist and her Master’s in Biodiversity Conservation, she is deeply engaged in fostering sustainable cities. As the founder and director of Instituto Árvores Vivas, Juliana champions environmental education – a process that aims to foster awareness and understanding of the environment and its challenges – as a tool for social transformation, ensuring children and youth have the right to healthy environments. Her multifaceted work includes advising CONAMA – the National Environment Council of Brazil, a key governmental body responsible for establishing environmental policies and regulations – and serving on the Steering Committee of the Resilient Green Cities Program. She also contributes to pedagogical strategies within ITAS’s Climate Education Chamber and shares accessible knowledge as a co-author of “Natureza fora da caixinha.” Juliana’s journey demonstrates the powerful impact of combining technical rigor with a passion for nature to build more sustainable societies.
