Kate McGloughlin is a celebrated painter and printmaker who lives and maintains a successful studio in Olivebridge, NY. Included in over eighty international exhibitions, she is the winner of more than a dozen notable awards for achievement, and her work is included in permanent collections in four museums. She is President Emerita of The Woodstock School of Art where she also teaches Landscape Painting and Printmaking. Requiem for Ashokan, The Story Told in Landscape, her multi media exhibition of paintings, prints, text and spoken word premiered at The Woodstock Artists Association & Museum in June 2017, was exhibited at The Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT in March, 2019, The Ulster County Historical Society Museum and is the subject of her book, Requiem for Ashokan, The Story told in Landscape. She has lectured on the subject for Vassar College, Columbia School of Climate Change, Ulster County Historical Society Museum and the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy among others. McGloughlin co-authored Solace and Sanctuary, The Ashokan’s Enduring Gifts with Gail Straub in 2022, and her autobiographical gift book. “Do Good” in 2024.
