Lisa Fitzsimons

Lisa holds an MSc in Climate Change: Policy, Media and Society from Dublin City University (DCU) and is Chief Operating Officer at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) in Dublin, where she leads strategy delivery, organisational change, and cross-departmental performance. A senior leader with over 25 years’ experience across public cultural institutions and complex international organisations, she has built a reputation for navigating complexity, enabling confident decisions, and bringing a positive institution-building mindset to everything she does. Culturally curious and deeply committed to the role of art in public life, Lisa is most interested in exploring how creativity can engage audiences on difficult topics — particularly the Earth Crisis — in ways that speak honestly to reality while also sparking hope and collective action. For the past three years, she has had the honour of leading Earth Rising, IMMA’s flagship festival celebrating art and culture as a catalyst for environmental change.
