Robert Morris-Nunn, director of Circa Morris Nunn, Architects, is regarded as one of Tasmania’s most successful architects, and in 2010 he was awarded the President’s Prize (Tas) by the Aust. Institute of Architects. He has practiced in Tasmania for almost 40 years, and has taken a special interest in the social impact of architecture and collaborative design processes. Several of his ground breaking buildings have received considerable international interest, most recently in the field of ecologically sustainable design, attracting critical acclaim from diverse sources both here and in the US and Europe. More recently the IXL Redevelopment and Saffire have also achieved significant international exposure.
He has won over 50 state and national architectural awards, his work has been illustrated in international publications and he has been invited to lecture at many Australian and international conferences about his work. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of Architecture, University of Tasmania.
