Self Andrea

Barcelona

Drawing from a background in product design and sociology, Self Andrea is currently working as Creative Director and Team Lead at Barcelona based design studio Domestic Data Streamers. His work is mainly focused on the research and the responsible application of AI tools in multiple contexts related to the fields of arts, culture, and education. Driven by a positive (but still critical) attitude towards the development of technology and AI, his interest is focused on questioning the anthropomorphic vision of intelligence, aiming for a “Planet Center Design” approach rather than a Human Center one. His tendency to approach a project through a creative and analytical perspective allows him to develop thought-provocative narratives that tend to stretch the boundaries of so-called “normality”.
