Sheila Ceccon is co-founder and Pedagogical Director of formigas-de-embaúba. She worked for ten years at the Paulo Freire Institute, where she was responsible for the socio-environmental dimension of the institution’s projects. She later coordinated the Environmental Education Department of the Municipal Secretariat of Education of Atibaia (São Paulo) for five years, leading training programs for teachers and school administrators across the public school system. She is the author of Educação Ambiental Crítica e a Prática de Projetos and co-author of other publications in the field. She holds a degree in Agronomy, a specialization in Horticulture from the University of Pisa, and a master’s degree from UNICAMP.
