Natalia Andrea Burgos Cuevas is a Colombian environmental professional specialising in Nature-based Solutions (NbS), climate change adaptation, and sustainable urban development. She currently serves as Senior NbS Officer and European NbS Hub Coordinator at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Bonn, where she leads coordination across regional offices, advances high-level policy processes, and designs capacity-building programmes across Europe. Prior to joining IUCN, she spent over four years at the Ecologic Institute in Berlin as International Development Coordinator and Research Fellow, working with a diversity of EU-funded projects on NbS, urban ecosystem restoration and co-creation methodologies. She holds a Master’s degree with Distinction in Disasters, Adaptation and Development from King’s College London, and a double honours BA in Political Science and Urban Management from Rosario University, Bogotá. A recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Climate Protection Fellowship, Natalia has published on NbS policy, climate-related human mobility, and regional development.
