Portland

Toby Query is a father, husband, and ecologist. As an ecologist with the City of Portland’s Revegetation Program since 1999, he stewards natural areas for all Portlanders where he has overseen the planting of over 4 million trees and shrubs. He founded the discussion group Portland Ecologists Unite! which created spaces to learn, discuss, and connect over current ecological issues. He is a certified Senior Ecologist from the Ecological Society of America. He has given talks and led workshops at conferences, churches, schools, and natural areas. He is a current student at Portland State University pursuing a Certificate in Indigenous Traditional Ecological and Cultural Knowledge and a core team member of the Land Care Collective.
