Laura is a ecologist at Missouri Botanical Gardens dedicated to understanding how degraded tropical forests can be restored in a cost-effective manner. She uses experimental fieldwork, laboratory approaches, and synthesis methods to identify the abiotic and biotic barriers that hinder biodiversity recovery in the tropics. Laura collaborates closely with restoration practitioners, land managers, policymakers, non-profits, research centers, and universities.
