Wilson is the Manager of the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) Center at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute. Holding a Ph.D. in Ecology with an emphasis in Ecosystem Restoration, he brings over 25 years of experience in Colombia’s biodiversity conservation. Among other leadership roles, he served as Co-Chair of the National Biodiversity Assessment and lead author for the Restoration chapter of the IPBES Global Assessment. Currently, he leads NBS implementation projects across regions such as La Mojana, La Guajira, high-altitude páramos, and urban areas.
