Martha Fajardo

Martha C. Fajardo is a Colombian landscape architect, urban environmental planner, and founder of Grupo Verde SAS, one of Latin America’s pioneering landscape architecture and regenerative urban design practices. For more than 37 years, she has led interdisciplinary projects integrating biodiversity, ecological infrastructure, climate resilience, and public space across Latin America. She is a former President of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), a member of the Board of Directors of The Nature of Cities (TNOC) and currently serves as Co Director of the IFLA Water Security and Management Working Group, leading the Sponge Planet Initiative. Latin American Landscape Initiative co-chair. Her work promotes landscape as ecological intelligence, connecting science, culture, and communities to shape more resilient, biodiverse, and regenerative cities.
