Veronica Fabio Agriculture Engineer, Magister in Landscape Architecture I am an agricultural engineer and specialist in landscape architecture. I am deeply interested in addressing the problems of social exclusion and inequality from the perspective of the landscape and the environment, as well as in how these can be faced through management and public policies. Likewise, my goal is to promote awareness about the importance of the landscape and its fundamental role in environmental health and human well-being. I have more than twenty years of teaching experience in various academic areas, including undergraduate, postgraduate and master’s degrees in Landscape Planning and Design, both at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism (FADU) of the University of Buenos Aires. (UBA) as in other educational institutions at a national and international level. Furthermore, I have dedicated a large part of my professional career to applied research in the field of landscape architecture. I have had the honor of serving as President of the Centro Argentino de Arquitectos Paisajistas (CAAP), the main professional association in Argentina dedicated to landscape architecture and exclusive representative of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA). Through this position, I have collaborated closely with various academic institutions, government entities, non-governmental organizations and companies in the coordination of projects and activities with socio-environmental impact. My experience covers comprehensive project management, the implementation of policies and actions with socio-environmental impact, as well as the direction and execution of landscape architecture works. In addition, I have contributed to numerous publications aimed at both professionals in the sector and the general public. Currently, I am dedicated to the research, exploration and dissemination of Nature-Based Solutions, in response to contemporary socio-environmental challenges. I lead a collaborative research project between FADU-UBA and the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom) called “Breathe. Respirar”.
