Laura Landau

Laura is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at CUNY Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, where she teaches U.S. Government and Environmental Politics. Her research focuses on post-disaster community organizing and the ability of grassroots movements to create local social and environmental transformation. She holds a BA in Urban Studies from Barnard College, an MS in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute, and a PhD in Geography from Rutgers University, where she was also a Coastal Climate Risk and Resilience fellow.
